Fox News\u2019s <\/em>Jesse Watters took aim at Minnesota governor Tim Walz, accusing the former vice-presidential nominee of violating \u201crules for men.\u201d \u201cI have a new rule\u2026 men don\u2019t wave simultaneously with two hands. We wave with one hand, not both hands at the same time,\u201d Watters said during a recent episode of \u201cThe Five.\u201d The panel was discussing recent comments from Walz during an interview on Gavin Newsom\u2019s podcast where he accused the right of being \u201cscared\u201d of his masculinity.<\/p>\n

During the episode<\/a>, Walz said he felt Republicans focused on him so much because they were worried he\u2019d make an impact amongst male voters. \u201cIt just baffled me how much time they spent trying to attack me, that I was not masculine enough in their vision,\u201d he said. \u201cThey focused on it obsessively, which I think again is their obsession, their weirdness.\u201d During the campaign, Republicans often mocked Walz for what they perceived as his flamboyant behavior and he was referred to as \u201cTampon Tim\u201d in reference to a Minnesota law requiring tampons to be placed in boys\u2019 bathrooms.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have rules for men. They\u2019re just funny, they\u2019re not that serious. Like, you don’t eat soup in public. You don’t cross your legs. And you don’t drink from a straw. And one of the reasons you don\u2019t drink from a straw is the way your lips purse. It\u2019s very effeminate,\u201d Watters said during the segment mocking how Walz recently drank a shake with a straw. \u201cHis excuse was, \u2018well I was drinking a milkshake.\u2019 Again, you shouldn\u2019t be drinking a milkshake. Milkshakes are for kids,\u201d Watters insisted. He then lamented what he called the feminizing of men by the Democrat party. \u201cReal men don\u2019t talk about masculinity. Real men never say \u2018misogyny.\u2019 It\u2019s just not something we ever say.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe Rogan also took issue with Walz\u2019s comments. \u201c’They’re scared of him because he could fix a truck?\u201d Rogan stated, referring to Walz\u2019s claims of his mechanical prowess. \u201cAnything masculine is \u2018right-wing,\u2019 anything – you cannot be masculine. Like, you cannot be interested in physical fitness, anything,\u201d he said. He added, \u201cYou can’t like fast cars.
