Nor is everyone in the Bible biologically or anatomically male or female.\u201d The document placed a heavy emphasis on eunuchs as the \u201cbiblical ancestors\u201d of queer people. The guidance cites Acts 8 when Phillip meets and baptizes an Ethiopian eunuch. The group also released guidelines entitled \u201cThe Bible Affirms Gays and Lesbians\u201d and \u201cThe Bible Affirms Bisexuals.\u201d The <a href=\"https:\/\/lgbtqfaithuk.com\/resources-and-links-2\/\">guidelines<\/a> point to the relationship between Jonathan and David as well as the relationship between Naomi and Ruth as \u201csame-sex relationships told in the Bible.\u201d \u201cThe Bible is completely positive about these relationships. There are other examples of LGBTQI people and situations in the Bible,\u201d the group states. The group also states the Samaritan woman may be intersex, although there is no clear evidence to support that claim.<\/p>\n<p>The guidelines have not been officially endorsed by the Church of England. They were written by Ann Reddecliffe, and feature as an extract from her book,<em>\u00a0LGBTQ Welcome. <\/em>Calvin Robinson, a former member of the Church of England but who is now a member of the Old Catholic Church, has warned against the church\u2019s increasing liberalism. \u201cThe Church of England has become very liberal in terms of divorce, sex outside marriage, same-sex relationships, transgenderism. And every time the Church tries to be more inclusive, it actually becomes more exclusive to Christianity and to Christian values, and more inclusive to worldly values and just further plummets that downward trajectory,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.christianpost.com\/news\/anglican-group-claims-not-everyone-in-bible-is-cisgender.html?utm_source=Daily&amp;utm_campaign=Daily&amp;utm_medium=newsletter\">he told <em>The Christian Post<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2022, junior research fellow at Trinity College in Cambridge, Joshua Heath, preached a sermon suggesting that Jesus had a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/news\/2022\/12\/sermon-sparks-outrage-and-cries-of-heresy-with-claims-of-jesuss-trans-body\">trans body<\/a>\u201d during an Anglican service.
