Glenn Beck, founder of Blaze Media, joined Tucker Carlson<\/a> on his tour in Salt Lake City, UT, where the two shared disparaging words for their former employer, Fox News<\/em>. Beck referred to himself and Carlson as \u201cthe only two survivors of Fox News,\u201d and noted how the working environment at Fox News<\/em> sought to spiritually destroy him. \u201cWhen I was at Fox, it was like you could feel the White House move. I could feel the impact, and that’s pretty intoxicating. It’s so dangerously intoxicating, and I could feel it, and I didn’t like it and I left. I should say, I didn’t like it because part of me really liked it,\u201d he said. Carlson agreed with the sentiment.<\/p>\n

Beck, a Mormon, accused the network of telling him not to talk so much about God and made veiled threats against his wife. There were speculations<\/a> that Carlson was fired from the network as well after giving a speech at the Heritage Foundations 50th<\/sup> Anniversary gala. Carlson framed America as being in a battle between good and evil, where people who supported destructive DEI and transgender policies would not listen to reason. \u201cWe should say that and stop engaging in these totally fraudulent debates\u2026I\u2019ve tried. That doesn\u2019t work. I have concluded it might be worth taking just 10 minutes out of your busy schedule to say a prayer for the future, and I hope you will,\u201d he admonished the crowd. According to a source, such religious undertones \u201cfreaks Rupert out,\u201d referring to Rupert Murdoch, the Fox Corporation Chair. Carlson himself has kept fairly mum on what exactly led to his firing.<\/p>\n

Beck recalled how working for Fox News<\/em> was like being at \u201cthe cool kids\u2019 table,\u201d but that one day after he was able to meet U2\u2019s Bono, he realized just how far he had fallen spiritually. \u201cI walk to the window \u2014 and I can still feel the cold glass on my forehead \u2014 and I leaned against the window, and I put my head there, and I’m looking down at the city, which is just intoxicating \u2014 if you like that kind of stuff, it’s intoxicating,” he said. “And I looked down, and I’m like, ‘How can this be your plan?’ And I heard internally, I heard, ‘If you don’t leave now, you will not leave with your soul,\u2019\u201d he recalled. He stated he resigned the next day. Leaving Fox News <\/em>has not been without its struggles, especially as Beck struggled to get Blaze Media running. Blaze has continued to face its up and downs, with the company recently having to let go of personality Lauren Chen<\/a>, after it was alleged she was receiving payoffs from Russia. However, Beck stated he doesn\u2019t regret the choice, having escaped the temptation for power. \u201cAll this can be yours,\u201d stated Carlson, referencing Satan\u2019s temptation of Christ in Matthew 4, to which Beck replied, \u201cI think fame and fortune is battery acid to the soul.\u201d<\/p>\n
