Rev. Ralph Drollinger, a minister who leads a weekly Bible study group for President Donald Trump\u2019s cabinet, believes the COVID-19 crisis in an act of God\u2019s judgment.<\/p>\n

In a blog post titled \u201cIs God Judging America Today,\u201d the minister blames the coronavirus on several groups, including those who have \u201ca proclivity toward lesbianism and homosexuality.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a lengthy March 21 \u201cBible Study\u201d on his Capitol Ministries blog, Drollinger wrote that America \u201cis experiencing the consequential wrath of God.\u201d His post caused outrage among several national LGBTQ advocacy groups.<\/p>\n

The LGBTQ community isn\u2019t the only group he blamed for igniting God\u2019s wrath \u2013 he also laid blame on people with \u201cdeprived minds,\u201d environmentalists and those who deny the existence of God.<\/p>\n

In an email sent to NBC News, Drollinger said his words about the coronavirus were misinterpreted, also included that he does not \u201cbelieve that homosexuality played any role whatsoever in the coronavirus.\u201d<\/p>\n

He included that when it comes to God, there are a \u201cpanoply of wraths.\u201d He explained that he believes homosexuality causes one type of God\u2019s wrath, the wrath of abandonment, which is different than the wrath that manifested in the coronavirus (sowing and reaping wrath).<\/p>\n

White House spokesman Judd Deere called the implication that homosexuality caused the pandemic \u201cdisgusting\u201d and \u201ccertainly not something the President believes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Trump has no higher priority than the health and safety of all Americans, and ensuring we emerge from this pandemic stronger than ever before,\u201d said Deere, also including President Trump does not attend Drollinger\u2019s Bible class.<\/p>\n
