\"\"<\/a>People are always saying how it amazes them how I think, wish, pray for something and then it appears. To me this is a normal way of living so it confuses me when they say such things. I wonder, though, if maybe these little miracles aren’t happening to them, too, and they’re just not giving them credence? I’m such a Big Mouth and shout out each little “wow” as they come along…I write them down, too! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

And, so, here I go again…..<\/p>\n

A few days after my husband died, my sister asked my eight-year-old daughter, Lydia, what she wanted to be when she grew up. Lydia replied, “A dancer.” I thought at the time, “Oh, my! How is that<\/em> going to happen?” I live in a small town and the dance instructor from five years ago when my older daughter took lessons, no longer teaches class. My long-distance friend who has taught dance for years had told me that if one of my daughters wanted to be a dancer, I would need to enroll them in class by age eight.<\/p>\n

A few hours later (I’m not kidding!) a friend brought us dinner. She is the mother of two of my theater students and her girls ran off to play with my girls, gathering bunnies and cats and chickens, I’m sure. \ud83d\ude42 When it was time for her to leave, she yelled down my hill, “Girls! It’s time for dance class!”\u00a0 Of course I gasped. Of course I asked. Dance classes had just started at a local fitness center and my friend was suppose to be promoting them!<\/p>\n

At that point in time, I was trying very hard to be financially responsible because I didn’t know how I was going to pay the bills (it was before my trip to the Social Security office). I asked on Facebook if anyone would like to sponsor Lydia for dance class and my long-time friend immediately called to say she would. We arranged for her to tell Lydia on her birthday.<\/p>\n

The night of her birthday–after she had opened her glittery ballet-shoes card that explained her gift and everyone had gone home–Lydia snuggled up next to me in bed and whispered, “Mom, have you ever been so thankful you don’t know how to say it?”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
