The LDS Church has always promoted the use of new technology to spread its message. It is now rolling out online radio, broadcasting LDS content (produced on Temple Square and at the various BYU campuses) 24\/7, at The Mormon Chanel: The Official Radio Station of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints<\/a>. Teamed with the LDS.org and LDS Newsroom websites, this boosts the ability of the Church to distribute audio and video content to its membership.<\/p>\n

Here’s from the press release announcing the new service<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Broadcasts originate at Temple Square in Salt Lake City and feature a vast and varied array of programming …. Personal interviews with Church leaders are included in a program titled Conversations<\/em> . In the initial episode, Deseret Book head, Sheri Dew, interviews Elder David A. Bednar and his wife, Susan. Other program content includes informational packages about the ministry and teachings of Jesus Christ and the doctrines, history and news of the Church.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What would really be great would be audio files of some of the conferences held at BYU, such as the Sperry Symposia.<\/p>\n
