You are joining Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council and &#8220;columnist&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/michellemalkin.com\/2009\/04\/14\/confirme-the-obama-dhs-hit-job-on-conservatives-is-real\/\">Michelle Malkin<\/a> in making a mountain out of a molehill.&nbsp; In fact, this is an instance when the molehill is a warning any responsible person would want to know about lest they ignore a possible infestation of vermin in and from their own front yard.<\/p>\n<p>Janet Napolitano <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/ynews\/releases\/pr_1239817562001.shtm\">issued a report<\/a> last week which noted, among other things, that &#8220;right-wing extremists may be gaining new recruits by playing on their fears about several emergent isssues&#8221;.&nbsp; Two of those issues are abortion and immigration.&nbsp; The report simply points out that the election of Barack Obama has led to anger among fringe characters about the direction of the country.&nbsp; I should note that the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.splcenter.org\/news\/item.jsp?aid=373\">Southern Poverty Law Center<\/a> has documented the growth of activity around really extreme Web sites which feed off hatred against African-Americans.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Of course, the report doesn&#8217;t say that all right-of-center groups<br \/>\nthat oppose abortion, religious or secular, should be targeted for<br \/>\nsurveillance.&nbsp; I would be outraged by that myself.&nbsp; However, all the<br \/>\nacts of domestic terrorism in the past twenty five years that Americans<br \/>\nremember, like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2005\/LAW\/07\/18\/rudolph.sentencing\/\">attacks on abortion providers<\/a><br \/>\nby Eric Rudolph and the Oklahoma City federal building&nbsp;bombing by<br \/>\nTimothy McVeigh&nbsp;were in fact conducted by right-wing ideologues.&nbsp;<br \/>\nShould we just give all right-wingers a &#8220;pass&#8221; so that we don&#8217;t risk<br \/>\nbeing &#8220;politically incorrect&#8221; about ultra-conservative sensitivities?<\/p>\n<p>The Department of Homeland Security owes the American people<br \/>\ninformation that can&nbsp;make us safe and secure.&nbsp; It has to call the plays<br \/>\nas it sees them.&nbsp; Earlier this year, as pointed out by<a href=\"http:\/\/mediamatters.org\/items\/200904160006\"> Media Matters<\/a>, the Department also warned about left-of-center groups that might become engaged in domestic cyber-terrorism.&nbsp; \n<\/p>\n<p>Where was the Perkins-Malkin-Sekulow outrage then?<\/p>\n<p>To subscribe to Lynn v.
