There is nothing like the feeling of knowing the Supreme Being is with you, in The 33<\/em> (2015; Chile, USA).<\/p>\n

Thirty-three miners are trapped, but the prospect of escaping unscathed may make them think, God is with them.<\/p>\n

God is with us<\/h4>\n

The 33<\/em> is based on a true story, so to claim God is with them is all the more pertinent.<\/p>\n

That is a big statement to make, but the precedent for saying it, or showing it, has already been set in films as well as in religious history and people\u2019s personal experiences.<\/p>\n

The Ten Commandments, back in 1956, had Moses part the Red Sea so the Israelites escaped the chasing Egyptian army. According to this story, the Israelite’s successfully escaped the Pharaoh\u2019s wrath.<\/p>\n

In The Nativity Story (2006, USA), Mary successfully navigates ancient Palestine and Egypt. The murderous king was killing male-born babies and Mary was promised a male baby by an angel. But Mary’s baby was kept safe.<\/p>\n

In both these stories, the Israelite’s and Mary were encouraged.\u00a0Hearts are encouraged when seeing divine intervention. They have seen this personally.<\/p>\n

It touches the heart and brings tears to the eyes. The Supreme Being cared enough to help. The everyday folk could then say from their hearts that God is with us.<\/p>\n

When in a predicament, whether it is the miners in The 33, or the Israelite’s in The Ten Commandments, or Mary in The Nativity Story, the same God is there to help. And the people said, amen, or \u2018let it be\u2019.<\/p>\n

Why does victory precede the thought, God is with us? God pulled the thirty-three through so they could be witnesses of his presence in the world.<\/p>\n
