So I went back to the film\u2019s premise and discovered a theme that sounded better. It was rediscovering Luke Skywalker.<\/p>\n<p>Luke (Mark Hamill) was the hero of the original trilogy. The Star Wars story or the Adventures of Luke Skywalker hinged on him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_243\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-243\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/lifeatthemovies\/files\/2016\/03\/Return-Of-The-Jedi-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-243\" src=\"https:\/\/wp-media.beliefnet.com\/sites\/398\/2016\/03\/Return-Of-The-Jedi-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"An image of Luke dueling nemesis Darth Vader in Return of the Jedi. Image sourced via google images (Flickr).<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Luke was a farm boy propelled into saving the galaxy of Star Wars.<\/p>\n<p>An unlikely hero, but who believed in the cause of good more than evil.<\/p>\n<p>He is a believer, faithful, ardent, and a good friend.<\/p>\n<p>He needed to be trained to become the last remaining Jedi Knight, a \u2018guardian of peace and justice\u2019. It was a long haul to become a Jedi and the maturity seen in Return of the Jedi (1983, USA).<\/p>\n<p>In <em>The Force Awakens<\/em>, Luke has vanished, but is valuable. Any remaining Jedi threatens the First Order\u2019s stake in the galaxy. The First Order are a form of evil or darkness.<\/p>\n<p>Resistance fighter pilot Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) has the map of Luke\u2019s whereabouts, but when the First Order come looking for it, Poe puts the map in a droid and the rest is here\u2019s hoping the First Order does not find it.<\/p>\n<p>Luke seems to have withdrawn from public view and the action \u2018out there\u2019. He may have become discouraged and feeble and so thought he wouldn\u2019t be good enough or of any use anymore.<\/p>\n<p>But the Star Wars galaxy really needs him. There are egos out of control trying to gain ascendancy in the galaxy and someone needs to help withstand it. Could that help be Luke?<\/p>\n<p>Yes, it could.<\/p>\n<p>A life message of <em>The Force Awakens<\/em> is don\u2019t give up because people may need you, especially when life gets complicated.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I did not want to mention too much about how symbolically bad the darkness is, in Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens (2015, USA).
