And if I were to follow that question with, \u2018And what\u2019s the source of the most pain in your life?\u2019 the answer to that is also going to be, their children. It seems that one of the reasons God makes us parents is so that we can see His \u201cside\u201d of the equation.<\/p>\n<p>When your child yells, \u2018I hate you\u2019 as you are trying to do what\u2019s best for him, can you hear the idea that maybe you\u2019re getting a window into God\u2019s \u201cperspective\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, it seems that this is one of the reasons we are directed to have children in the Torah.<\/p>\n<p>Do you think the only reason God wants us to have kids is in order to populate the world? God arranged for there to be 6 billion people on Planet Earth.
