My observations about having a third party candidate
\nfrom the christian right:
\n– It would seal the deal for the D’s winning the White
\nHouse due to the Perot \/ Nader effect;
\n– It would further marginalize the “Christian Right”
\nas an extremist political group;
\n– Many Republicans may see this as a positive,
\nallowing the party to run more from the center and
\neffectively saying to the christian right “good
\nriddins!” — as well as many Democrats who no longer
\nfeel that their views are being represented by the
\nincreasingly extreme Left;
\n– Is it a lost cause for the evangelical christian
\ncommunity to work to influence both parties
\nirrespective of politics?
\n– On the positive, it would show that the evangelical
\nchristian community is more interested in principles
\nthan politics……
\n– ……HOWEVER, are the principles being purported
\nthe ones that are most critical for followers of
\nChrist? I’m not so sure. Our society is in moral
\ndecay and institutions like marriage and ideas like
\nloving your neighbors as yourselves have been severely
\ndamaged, but I’m not so sure that laws are what’s
\nneeded to fix these problems.
\n– It would likely have the effect of pushing more
\nchurch-going right-of-center people away from the
\nright and towards the center or out of the process
\naltogether for feeling that their views are no longer
\nrepresented by the right…again, marginalizing the
\nchristian right.<\/p><\/blockquote>\nRead this closely no matter how much you might disagree with any of the politics because what is behind and beneath these words is further evidence of the spiritual change occurring within the evangelical community – politics is fading ever so slightly and the spiritual is in the ascendency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
