This post is not about Mark Driscoll. I’m sorry. I know you’re disappointed. To be honest, I only used Mark’s name to get you to come here. Some of you never visit my blog unless Mark’s name is in the title.<\/p>\n

I know what you’re thinking: WTM<\/em>?<\/p>\n

Love him or hate him or hate the fact that you love him, there’s no denying that the name “Mark Driscoll” drives traffic. Mark’s name drives traffic, throws it in a cage and kicks the Driscoll <\/em>out of it.<\/p>\n

Among Christians who read blogs, Mark Driscoll is the name of above all names.<\/p>\n

John Piper’s name works okay.<\/p>\n

Joel Osteen’s name works surprisingly well, especially among Calvinists. (Nobody dislikes Joel more than the Reformers.)<\/p>\n

Rob Bell’s name works, too, depending on what context its used.<\/p>\n

But “Mark Driscoll”… there’s just something about that name that makes people run their cursor over a link and click.<\/p>\n

Even the name of Jesus can’t drive the traffic that Mark can.<\/p>\n

But again, I used Mark’s name in vain, just to get you to click on the link and come here…<\/p>\n

But it’s a good book about the Gospel of Matthew, cleverly titled The Gospel of Matthew: God with Us<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n

This book has a lot of names attached to it, not the least of which is the author: Matt Woodley<\/a>.
