Meet the creators of Captain America<\/span> Salvation, the superhero who gets his strength from God!<\/p>\n

A fire rages out of control in a town called Graceville. From within the engulfed building, a voice is heard: “Lord, help me! Please, God!” The cry is from Bella Hope, an orphan who is destined to become a powerful missionary – if she can survive!<\/em><\/p>\n

Her prospects look grim, as the flames force firefighters to retreat. But then, suddenly, out of the blue, her prayers are answered: A caped superhero with a cross emblazoned on his chest busts his way into the building, scoops up Bella and leaps safely from the burning wreck.<\/em><\/p>\n

Thus begins the saga of Captain Salvation, the star of a new Christian comic book created by a one-time youth minister who now lives in Harrisburg, northeast of Charlotte.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

The first issue is called The Kingdom Strikes Back<\/em><\/div>\n
The hero tries to get kids to “ACTIVATE” their salvation…<\/div>\n
One of the catch phrases of CS is “to the HOLY ROLLER!!!”…<\/div>\n

Every one of the above ideas are refurbished “REAL” other people’s creative property… That’s the saddest part of ideas like this…<\/div>\n

At the end of the comic book, Captain Salvation urges kids to pray with him “to ACTIVATE your salvation.”<\/em><\/p>\n

The prayer: “Dear Jesus, thank you for dying for me and rising again. Come into my heart and forgive my sins. I give my life to you from now on. Amen.”<\/em><\/p>\n

So far, Hawn says, 1,200 kids have recited the prayer. That’s what it’s all about, he says.<\/em><\/p>\n

“My goal all along has been to inscribe the word of God in children’s hearts.”<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
