They can&#8217;t help what gets put on them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">Anyway&#8230; according to <em>New York Times<\/em>&#8230;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Stand on a corner in this city and you might get a case of theological whiplash. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>A public bus rolls by with an <a title=\"More articles about atheism.\" href=\"http:\/\/topics.nytimes.com\/top\/reference\/timestopics\/subjects\/a\/atheism\/index.html?inline=nyt-classifier\">atheist<\/a> message on its side: \u201cMillions of people are good without God.\u201d Seconds  later, a van follows bearing a riposte: \u201cI still love you. \u2014 God,\u201d with  another line that says, \u201c2.1 billion Christians are good with God.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>A clash of beliefs has rattled this city ever since  atheists bought ad  space on four city buses to reach out to nonbelievers who might feel  isolated during the Christmas season. After all, Fort Worth is a place  where residents commonly ask people they have just met where they  worship and many encounters end with, \u201cHave a blessed day.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe want to tell people they are not alone,\u201d said Terry McDonald, the  chairman of Metroplex Atheists, part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Coalition  of Reason, which paid for the atheist ads. \u201cPeople don\u2019t realize there  are other atheists. All you hear around here is, \u2018Where do you go to  church?\u2019\u00a0\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But the reaction from believers has been harsher than anyone in the  nonbeliever\u2019s club expected. Some ministers organized a boycott of the  buses, with limited success. Other clergy members are pressing the Fort  Worth Transportation Authority to  ban all religious advertising on  public buses.
