Anyway, I bet you can’t guess why it’s Ellen’s fault. THREE GUESSES:<\/p>\n

A) It’s because she’s a lesbian.<\/p>\n

B) It’s because she’s a lesbian.<\/p>\n

C) It’s because she’s a lesbian.<\/p>\n

or<\/p>\n

D) All of the above<\/p>\n

DING DING DING! It’s because she’s a lesbian!<\/p>\n

So which Christian writer makes this claim?<\/p>\n

THIS GUY… <\/strong><\/p>\n

You’re probably thinking… who? Or WHOM?! I thought the same thing. And then I thought: Was that photo taken in 1994 at Glamor Shots? It’s foggy<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Anyway, Gary McCullough is the editor of Christian Newswire<\/a>, and apparently since January 2010 he has thought that Ellen and her lesbian shenanigans was going to ruin American Idol! I bet you he thought that God was going to send fire and brimstone and then turn Simon into a pillar of salt. (<-Just a guess.)<\/p>\n

Gary. Gary. Gary. Really? Did you really have to go there? I mean, we’re talking about Ellen. You don’t mess with Ellen. She’s nicer than you. And not mention much more famous.<\/p>\n

And God forbid we just admit that this year’s American Idol sucked because the talent sucked. In fact, the talent has been mediocre since season 4. We just didn’t want to admit it.<\/p>\n

But no, Gary had to get all Christiany and write an op-ed piece about how HE THINKS it’s because Ellen is a lesbian.<\/p>\n

JESUS-LOVING GARY WRITES… In January, I wrote,<\/em> ‘<\/span>I am confident that the producers of American Idol<\/em> will be shocked when their market share has cratered, and will in all honesty find a dozen other reasons for the drop in ratings. After all, what successful television producer could have a clue what wholesomeness is as long as they see promoting homosexuality as a virtue.<\/em><\/p>\n

The talent sucked, Gary. THE TALENT SUCKED! I’ll admit that Ellen wasn’t the greatest judge, but that has nothing to do with her being gay; she just seemed a bit out of her element at times.<\/p>\n

Gary goes on to write… DeGeneres’ “Yes, I have loved a woman,” comment from the May 11 show, was the most obvious lesbian-one-liner, but it wasn’t the only one, and it is hurting the show’s ratings. I can hear the bloggers loading their homophobe-blasters <\/em>(AW, THE HOMOPHOBE IS TALKING ABOUT ME! JUST KIDDING, GAR.), but think this through with me. If one of the judges was an abortion activist, or a political right winger and continued to insert comments in line with their activism, the same criticism would be true, and the show would suffer. The advice, “Shut up and sing!” comes to mind.<\/em><\/p>\n

Gary concludes his rant with this humdinger… Network television producers may or may not stop promoting homosexuality; but for certain they will learn to keep homosexual activism separate from the cash-cow of “family entertainment.” There is of course the insane possibility that Hollywood will forsake ratings \u2014 and the dollars that follow; and continue down the path of change. Perhaps next we will see the pro-pedophilia group NAMBLA use its influence in Hollywood to have Dancing with the Stars<\/em> seat Roman Polanski<\/strong> as a judge…. <\/em><\/p>\n

WOW. THAT STATEMENT IS LOWER THAN PAT ROBERTSON.<\/p>\n

BUT SERIOUSLY, the talent wasn’t that great. I mean, Lee won! LEE… Nice guy. But not an “American Idol.”<\/p>\n
