As  in, it&#8217;s  just not the same without everyone doing it together?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Celebrate holidays.\u00a0 Travel.\u00a0  Favorite place \u2013 Destin, Florida and Snowmass, Colorado or some new  place that  none of us have ever explored.\u00a0 Because there are seven of us ranging in   age, it is not that often that we all get to travel together, but I love  it when  we do.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you have the habit of singing around the house? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not unless I\u2019m writing a song.\u00a0  There is always music in our house \u2013 musicians coming by to record or  songwriters coming over to write, but I don\u2019t walk around singing to  myself.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>How much fun was it to record &#8216;Overnight&#8217; with your  daughter  Sarah? Was this something that just came to you one day, or had you been   planning something like this for a while? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It was beyond thrilling.\u00a0 I had  enough nervous energy during that session to light up New York City.\u00a0 In   fact, I had to excuse myself while she was singing and leave the room.\u00a0 I   didn\u2019t want to be the complete irritant jumping around like a chicken  with my  head cut off.\u00a0 I\u2019ve had the idea of singing with her for about a  year.\u00a0 It just took finding the right song.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What artist or  artists are you listening to right now? Is there a new favorite? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I keep my ipod on shuffle  (listening  thru speakers not ear buds).\u00a0 Today I enjoyed Bruce Cockburn, Charles  Brown, Sara Bareilles, Death Cab For Cutie,  Ben Folds, and  Vince.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You&#8217;ve had the opportunity of working with some amazing  musical  talent over the years&#8211;from recording duets with Peter Cetera and Kenny  Loggins  to singing on stage with Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge to name a  few&#8230; if  you had the opportunity to collaborate with any artist, who would that  be and  why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One of my all time  favorite  moments on stage was sitting on a small  stage next to Stevie Wonder.\u00a0 We were taping a tv show in honor of  Christopher Reeves.\u00a0 He crashed and burned during a harmonica solo  during  \u201cThat\u2019s What Friends Are For\u201d and asked for a retake\u2026 then knocked it  absolutely  out of the park.\u00a0 That taught me a lot \u2013 namely, not to be afraid to  fail.\u00a0 I don\u2019t have a list of artists I\u2019d like to collaborate with but  I\u2019m  always excited when an interesting idea surprises me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is  your all-time favorite hymn and why?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt Is Well With My  Soul\u201d, followed by a close second \u201cHow Great Thou Art.\u201d\u00a0 I\u2019ve known all  the  words to all the verses since I was a small  child.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0036IA6VQ?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=theliffaiandc-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B0036IA6VQ\">Amy&#8217;s new album &#8220;Somewhere Down the Road&#8221; is in stores now.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amy answers your questions&#8230; What is something you LOVE to do with your family?
