I heard the voice of God speaking to me: 20%.<\/div>\n<div>2. I felt called by God to do something: 44%.<\/div>\n<div>3. I was protected from harm by a guardian angel: 55%.<\/div>\n<div>4. I witnessed a miraculous, physical healing: 23%.<\/div>\n<div>5. I received a miraculous, physical healing: 16%.<\/div>\n<div>6. I spoke or prayed in tongues: 8%.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Only 34% of Americans answered &#8220;No&#8221; to all six of these questions. It gets more interesting when you compare denominations:<\/div>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nHigh means 3-5 questions answered Yes (27%); Medium means 2 (18%); 1 or none (34%) is Low.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I give the Combined percent which measures how frequent such a denomination&#8217;s persons have religious experiences:&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Unitarians: 20<\/div>\n<div>Presbyterians: 35%<\/div>\n<div>Lutheran: 35%<\/div>\n<div>Episcopalians: 37%<\/div>\n<div>Methodist: 49%<\/div>\n<div>Liberal mainliners total: 40%<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Baptist: 59%<\/div>\n<div>Pentecostal: 88%<\/div>\n<div>Assemblies: 86%<\/div>\n<div>Cons Prots total: 64%<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>RC: 40%<\/div>\n<div>Mormon: 86%<\/div>\n<div>Jewish: 9%<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Women 50 vs. Men 38<\/div>\n<div>Race: African American 68% and White 43%<\/div>\n<div>Education: no significant impact.
