So the psalmist goes at it, and this prayer reminds me some of the Magnificat: it&#8217;s not vindication or vengeance so much as it is balancing the scales.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The confidence of the psalmist is that God takes notice; in fact, God always takes notice of the oppressed (10:14). The psalmist cares about the fatherless and the oppressed, and knows God cares for the fatherless and the oppressed.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I mention here <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thementoringproject.org\/\"><b>The Mentoring Project<\/b><\/a> pioneered by Don Miller, and hope that you will think and pray and do when it comes to the fatherless.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The plea is rooted in the care of God for the oppressed (10:16-18).<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<blockquote class=\"webkit-indent-blockquote\">\n<div><span
