Obama was there four hours and continued his discussions about health care and international issues with advisors. It was a chance for the whole country.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>7. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2009\/10\/05\/AR2009100503989.html?hpid=topnews\">Obama on terrorism<\/a> &#8230; good article.<\/div>\n<div>8. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/10\/05\/opinion\/05krugman.html?_r=1&amp;em\">Paul Krugman, predictably<\/a>: &#8220;<span class=\"Apple-style-span\">But more important, the episode illustrated an essential truth about the state of American politics: at this point, the guiding principle of one of our nation&#8217;s two great political parties is spite pure and simple. If Republicans think something might be good<br \/>\nfor the president, they&#8217;re against it &#8212; whether or not it&#8217;s good for America.&#8221; The issue here is if Krugman will continue the tradition of spite, which was no less the case during the Bush era, or will he find a better way?<\/span><\/div>\n<div>9.
