I provide a series of questions for your consideration.<\/em><br \/>\nA good place to begin here is with D.M. Scholer, \u201cWomen,\u201d or with B. Witherington III, <em>Women<\/em>. (These items can be found in the first post in this series.)  <!--more|inline--><br \/>\nMy recommendation: list all the evidence about women in the Gospels and sort out according to the above categories and then ask the following questions. Be fair with the evidence: do not be disrespectful of Judaism\u2019s attempt to follow the Torah or with the Jesus movement\u2019s Jewish origins.<br \/>\n10.1\tWhat are the similarities of Judaism and Jesus in how they treated women?<br \/>\n10.2\tWhat are the dissimilarities?<br \/>\n10.3\tDid Jesus \u201cliberate\u201d women?  If you think so, examine all the data in the light of the above outline, and specify how and to what extent Jesus \u201cliberated\u201d women.<br \/>\n10.4\tDid Jesus have \u201cwomen disciples\u201d? Why or why not? If so, describe the nature of their following of Jesus. Were they apostles? were they preachers? were they healers? were they teachers? What roles did they perform?<br \/>\n10.5\tWhat is the impact of Jesus\u2019 healing of women?<br \/>\n10.6\tWhat does Jesus say about motherhood? about the family? about children?<br \/>\n10.7\tDid Jesus \u201cliberate\u201d women from Jewish purity laws? Did he expect females connected to him to follow laws for menstruants?<br \/>\n10.8\tDid Jesus join his followers in regular table fellowship?
