<\/p>\n

We have chosen to fast<\/p>\n

Not with ashes but with actions<\/p>\n

Not with sackcloth but in sharing<\/p>\n

Not in thoughts but in deeds<\/p>\n

We will give up our abundance<\/p>\n

To share our food with the hungry<\/p>\n

We will give up our comfort<\/p>\n

To provide homes for the destitute<\/p>\n

We will give up our fashions<\/p>\n

To see the naked clothed<\/p>\n

We will share where others hoard<\/p>\n

We will free where others oppress<\/p>\n

We will heal where others harm<\/p>\n

Then God’s light will break out on us<\/p>\n

God’s healing will quickly appear<\/p>\n

God will guide us always<\/p>\n

God’s righteousness will go before us<\/p>\n

We will find our joy in the Lord<\/p>\n

We will be like a well watered garden<\/p>\n

We will be called repairers of broken walls<\/p>\n

Together we will feast at God’s banquet table<\/p>\n
