In 45 years or so of elections, I can&#8217;t recall ever seeing this much enthusiasm for a new President (perhaps Reagan&#8217;s first?) and I&#8217;m quite certain we&#8217;ve never seen this much support from young voters and college students. <\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s an excellent blog by <a href=\"http:\/\/stillsearching.wordpress.com\/\">Brett McCracken<\/a>; he analyzes &#8220;hipster&#8221; culture. That same cultural generation, undoubtedly, presents some new challenges for education. Though not new news, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.grownupdigital.com\/index.php\/2009\/01\/goodbye-to-the-sage-on-the-stage\/\">this piece<\/a> speaks of one of the issues &#8212; learning styles. Here&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.churchtimes.co.uk\/blog_post.asp?id=68863\">bold form<\/a> of communicating.<\/p>\n<p>Dave Dunbar&#8217;s newest in the <a href=\"http:\/\/campaign.constantcontact.com\/render?v=0016vqLGphpAxOiKfgeI8invr29mbAUPOd9SbMrmQWKwDCaF76RvmaTjeujrhaFqCUd3yC8M5Px3DYJrxHZxzv6lIK-w_788vX_of3Y3DL7myq7CCKhzYAxFUJgvMSgvt-D2JeduM1e7G8%3D\">Missional Journal<\/a>; he examines the &#8220;problem&#8221; we do have in the evangelical and missional world.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tennessean.com\/apps\/pbcs.dll\/article?AID=2009901170354\">Bob Smietana<\/a>&#8216;s piece about the decline in baptisms in Southern Baptist Churches. It&#8217;s always wise to listen to the critics.<\/p>\n<p>6. <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.usatoday.com\/oped\/2009\/01\/faith-and-inaug.html\">Os Guinness<\/a> on what Obama faces.<br \/>7. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/wp-dyn\/content\/article\/2009\/01\/20\/AR2009012002612.html?hpid=opinionsbox1\">George Will<\/a> on what Obama said.<br \/>8. There&#8217;s nothing like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/01\/22\/education\/22texas.html?_r=1&amp;em\">a fight in Texas<\/a>, and they&#8217;re now pulling guns on one another about evolution and creation.<br \/>9. In my judgment, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chicagobreakingnews.com\/2009\/01\/ricketts-family-is-high-bidder-for-cubs-900m.html\">900M for the Cubs is a steal<\/a>.
