Well, that&#8217;s fine &#8212; as I&#8217;m a Mac man &#8212; except that my daily mail and internet routines were all set up on that computer. So, here goes for another version of our Weekly Meanderings.<a class=\"imagelink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jesuscreed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/chicago-lightning.jpg\" title=\"chicago-lightning.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image4184\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jesuscreed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/chicago-lightning.thumbnail.jpg\" alt=\"chicago-lightning.jpg\" \/><\/a><!--more|inline-->Congrats to<a href=\"http:\/\/www.northpark.edu\/home\/index.cfm?northpark=RNews.RNews_Story&#038;ID=2790\"> Linda Cannell<\/a>. Linda and I were colleagues back in the days when we were &#8230;. uh, younger&#8230;<a class=\"imagelink\" href=\"http:\/\/www.jesuscreed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/linda-cannell-head-shot-gordonconwell.JPG\" title=\"linda-cannell-head-shot-gordonconwell.JPG\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"image4182\" src=\"http:\/\/www.jesuscreed.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/08\/linda-cannell-head-shot-gordonconwell.thumbnail.JPG\" alt=\"linda-cannell-head-shot-gordonconwell.JPG\" \/><\/a>One of those who blogs here often was interviewed on a blog: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblioblogs.com\/featured-blogs\/200808\/\">Biblioblogs<\/a>. The picture is is my response to the question: &#8220;How many points of Calvinism do you believe!&#8221;So many good things this week on my favorite blogs, so I&#8217;ll just give them in a lump right here. Jim Martin has a good piece on &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/godhungry.org\/?p=973\">do-overs&#8221;<\/a> and I suspect many of us will like his stuff with <a href=\"http:\/\/seedlingsinstone.blogspot.com\/2008\/08\/ll-and-lauren-but-not-jim-at-laity.html\">LL Barkat<\/a> on the quiet house (<a href=\"http:\/\/godhungry.org\/?p=972\">one<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/godhungry.org\/?p=975\">two<\/a>) [and give it up to those like Jim who post great pictures with each post]. There is a very good conversation about <a href=\"http:\/\/eugenecho.wordpress.com\/2008\/08\/06\/why-many-americans-prefer-their-sundays-segregated\/\">Segregation on Sundays<\/a> at Eugene Cho&#8217;s blog. <a href=\"http:\/\/daddyroblog.blogs.com\/daddyroblog\/2008\/08\/nothing-makes-a-dad-happier.html\">Good one Rob<\/a>. Read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internetmonk.com\/archive\/the-suburban-jesus-hates-me\">this one by iMonk<\/a> but I have to say on his &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.internetmonk.com\/archive\/do-baptists-believe-once-saved-always-saved\">once saved, always saved<\/a>&#8221; that I know lots of Baptists who believe that and who don&#8217;t really believe in perseverance because they don&#8217;t really believe in apostasy. Don Johnson&#8217;s got a good little discussion starter about <a href=\"http:\/\/jibstay.blogspot.com\/2008\/08\/whats-conversation.html\">conversation<\/a>. And <a href=\"http:\/\/krusekronicle.typepad.com\/kruse_kronicle\/2008\/08\/demographic-landscape-shifts-across-united-states.html\">Michael Kruse<\/a> reminds me again this week that he&#8217;s a blogging machine about facts and trends. <a href=\"http:\/\/erika.haub.net\/dear-god\/08\/\">Erika<\/a> reminds us of what prompts us to pray. <a href=\"http:\/\/tallskinnykiwi.typepad.com\/tallskinnykiwi\/2008\/08\/emerging-church.html\">TSK gets this one right<\/a>: use the word &#8220;emerging church&#8221; or not? A public kind of missional gathering with <a href=\"http:\/\/missiolux.blogspot.com\/2008\/08\/gift-of-music-and-prayer-at-occidental.html\">Tamara Buchan<\/a>.
