Missional Jesus encounters two blind men in Matthew 9:27-31 and what Jesus does reveals the nature of his misison.
\n1. Missional Jesus has a nose and ear for those who are in need of mercy.
\n2. Missional Jesus not only senses those who are in need of mercy, he does something about it.
\n3. Missional Jesus draws those in need of mercy to trust him — revealing that all missional work eventually finds its way to Jesus.
\n4. Missional Jesus is inauspicious: he is no need of attention.
\nAs Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, \u201cHave mercy on us, Son of David!\u201d
\nWhen he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, \u201cDo you believe that I am able to do this?\u201d
\n\u201cYes, Lord,\u201d they replied.
\nThen he touched their eyes and said, \u201cAccording to your faith let it be done to you\u201d; and their sight was restored.
