We finish the Song of Solomon today. The Song ends with the woman summoning her man to the bed:
\nMake haste, my beloved,
\nand be like a gazelle
\nor a young stag
\nupon the mountains of spices! (8:14)
\nThe “mountains of spices” are either her — or perhaps only her breasts (cf. 4:6, 13-14). As he asked to hear her voice, she asks him to come to bed.
\nShe may well be telling him to abandon the allure of the Solomonic court with all the women and come to her, to her alone.
