It helps that we are in Washington, DC. I&#8217;m giving a paper in response to Larry Hurtado&#8217;s big book, <em>Lord Jesus Christ<\/em>. <!--more|inline--><br \/>\nBlog topic of the week for me: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reclaimingthemission.com\/2006\/11\/warning-list-for-those-who-would-join.html\">David Fitch&#8217;s insightful warnings<\/a> about what to expect from a missional, emerging church along with <a href=\"http:\/\/erika.haub.net\/theres-no-crying-in-church-planting\/11\/\">Erika Carney Haub&#8217;s excellent musings<\/a> that missional churches also need to be caring for their own.<br \/>\nStamina blogging award goes to Michael Kruse for his excellent series on <a href=\"http:\/\/krusekronicle.typepad.com\/kruse_kronicle\/2006\/10\/discovering_bib_1.html\"><em>Discovering Biblical Equality<\/em><\/a>.<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t think about the culture of the police; <a href=\"http:\/\/arbevere.blogspot.com\/2006\/11\/when-they-have-your-back-you-never.html\">Alan Bevere<\/a> does and has some very good thoughts.<br \/>\nBy and large, kudos to the Democrats for not gloating over the election results.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s Christmas season already: we got 13 catalogs in the mail yesterday; only one of them for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coloradopen.com\/\">fountain pens<\/a>.<br \/>\nPeter Lumpkins&#8217; 3d <a href=\"http:\/\/peterlumpkins.typepad.com\/peter_lumpkins\/2006\/11\/professor_roger.html\">interview with Roger Olson<\/a>; again very good.<br \/>\nI can&#8217;t link to Jim Martin and Mark Roberts every week, so I&#8217;ll do it <a href=\"http:\/\/godhungry.org\/\">this way<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.markdroberts.com\/\">that way<\/a>.<br \/>\n1. I keep telling myself that Grossman has only played in about 11 games; he&#8217;s still young and learning.<br \/>\nAfter watching a few minutes of a Bulls game, I have to wonder again why anyone watches the NBA. 8 guys standing around and stuck on a spot; two guys playing. Everything we taught kids not to do when they played basketball.
