There is no proof that we have executed an innocent man or
\nwoman.  <\/span>Though if you ask sister
\nHelen Prejean she thinks that it has already occurred.  <\/span>In her book, “The Death of
\nInnocents:  An Eyewitness Account
\nof Wrongful Executions<\/a>,” she outlines two cases, one of “an indigent black man
\nwith an IQ of 65, and Joseph Roger O’Dell.”  <\/span>She watched both of them die and is convinced of their
\ninnocence.<\/p>\n

Acclaimed mystery writer, John Grisham, is trying to raise
\nour awareness.  <\/span>First with his
\nbook, The Innocent Man<\/a>, (which was far from fiction) and then most recently with,
\n“The Confession<\/a>.”  <\/span>In the latter,
\nhe turns the tables and shows that, “For every innocent man sent to prison,
\nthere is a guilty one left on the outside.”<\/p>\n

California is on the verge of executing an innocent man.  Kevin Cooper faces lethal injection unless something is done.  It appears as if he was framed for murder.<\/a><\/p>\n
