{"id":293,"date":"2008-02-05T02:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-02-05T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/jazztheologian\/2008\/02\/pro-life-democr.html"},"modified":"2008-02-05T02:00:00","modified_gmt":"2008-02-05T02:00:00","slug":"pro-life-democr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/jazztheologian\/2008\/02\/pro-life-democr.html","title":{"rendered":"Pro-Life Democrats?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/jazztheologian.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/02\/02\/wrongonrace.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"150\" alt=\"Wrongonrace\" src=\"https:\/\/jazztheologian.typepad.com\/findingthegroove\/images\/2008\/02\/02\/wrongonrace.jpg\" width=\"150\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a>Here&#8217;s some food for thought during this political season.<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s a new book out called <em>Wrong on Race:&nbsp; The Democratic Party&#8217;s Buried Past.<\/em>&nbsp; It is a history of how, in general, the Democratic part was on the wrong side of slavery and civil rights.&nbsp; Yet, today, many African-Americans are Democrats.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Political partys can change?&nbsp; Each party has it&#8217;s blind spots that don&#8217;t always have to be.<\/p>\n<p>This has me thinking&#8230;just because the Dem&#8217;s are w<em>rong on abortion<\/em> (in my humble opinion), doesn&#8217;t mean that it always must be.&nbsp; Can you envison a day when both the Republicans AND Democrats are for the protection of the unborn?<\/p>\n<p>There is a group of people who believe that it can happen check out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.democratsforlife.org\">www.democratsforlife.org<\/a>!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s some food for thought during this political season.
