{"id":260,"date":"2008-04-25T23:58:28","date_gmt":"2008-04-25T23:58:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.beliefnet.com\/jazztheologian\/2008\/04\/greetings-from.html"},"modified":"2008-04-25T23:58:28","modified_gmt":"2008-04-25T23:58:28","slug":"greetings-from","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/jazztheologian\/2008\/04\/greetings-from.html","title":{"rendered":"Greetings from the Pacific Northwest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jazztheologian.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/04\/25\/seattle.jpg\"><\/a>At the moment I&#8217;m in Tacoma, WA with the wonderful people of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tacomayfc.org\/FosterCare.htm\">Youth For Christ Tacoma<\/a>\/West Puget Sound and Adoption Ministry of YWAM.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The brethren in this part of the country are responding in a big way to God&#8217;s call to care for orphans.&nbsp; Today, I had the honor of speaking to rooms full of pastors and foster parents who are in the trenches seeking to empty out the foster care system of Washington.&nbsp; In our country the church is divided by the barriers of race, class and denomination but God seems to be using orphan can to break down these barriers.&nbsp; Saturday, I&#8217;ll be at University Place Presbyterian Church as Keynote for YFC Foster Care&#8217;s fundraising banquet.<\/p>\n<p>Being here has me grateful for what God is doing in Colorado with <a href=\"www.project127.com\">Project 127<\/a>:&nbsp; 89 chlidren placed&#8211;122 churches&#8211;258 families lined up.&nbsp; <em>The day is coming in America when there will be no more children waiting for families only families waiting for children.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the moment I&#8217;m in Tacoma, WA with the wonderful people of Youth For Christ Tacoma\/West Puget Sound and Adoption Ministry of YWAM.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":79,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-260","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-misc"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.9 -
