He confessed the sins of Africa and by the end we were all&#160;weeping&#160;because of this mans true contrition for what his people had done.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jazztheologian.com\/.a\/6a00d8341c63c953ef010534d32248970b-pi\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"DSCN0270\" class=\"at-xid-6a00d8341c63c953ef010534d32248970b\" src=\"https:\/\/www.jazztheologian.com\/.a\/6a00d8341c63c953ef010534d32248970b-320wi\" style=\"margin: 0px 0px 5px 5px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe written word is wholly inadequate to capture what happened but here are the sins he confessed&#8230;<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Sins of Ancestors and Ancient Chiefs<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Idolatry<\/li>\n<li>Human Sacrifices&#160;<\/li>\n<li>Killing of twins and throwing them away&#160;<\/li>\n<li>Throwing away the sick&#160;<\/li>\n<li>Africa&#039;s role in selling our kinsmen to slave traders&#160;<\/li>\n<li>Incest&#160;<\/li>\n<li>Subjugation of women as nothing&#160;<\/li>\n<li>Killing of early missionaries who came to us&#160;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Sins of our Nations<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>&#160;Tribalism<\/li>\n<li>Nepotism&#160;<\/li>\n<li>Racism &amp;&#160;Apartheid&#160;<\/li>\n<li>Rigging of Elections and placing the wrong people in power<\/li>\n<li><span>Misappropriation&#160;&#160;<\/span>&#160;of Government &amp; Public funds leading to the&#160;impoverishment&#160;of the masses<\/li>\n<li><span>&#160;Violent overthrow of Governments by coup<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Assassinations&#160;&#160;of our leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Sins in our Ministries<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Dishonesty in reporting and exaggeration&#160;of figures so as to appear more successful<\/li>\n<li><span>Overlording our staff &amp; volunteers instead of serving them<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Appropriating ministry materials and resources to ourselves and not to the ministry itself<\/li>\n<li>Abandoning the ministry for personal pursuits&#160;<\/li>\n<li>Being manipulative in making choices for leadership&#160;&#160;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Have you ever confessed the sins of your people in this way, that is, the way the people of God did in the Bible?<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had a service of confession here in South Africa&#8211;both private and&#160;corporate. &#160;Emmanuel Chijindus is the Africa Area Director for YFC. &#160;He is a powerful presence both on the platform and up close.
