The nine principles of conflict resolution are a good framework upon which we can create that supportive space of consciousness. Let&#8217;s keep these points in mind as we begin a conversation with the North Korean government for their return. I hope and pray they will be released soon.<br \/>\n1. Speak and treat each party with respect.<br \/>\n2. Understand there is perception of injustice on both sides.<br \/>\n3.  Be willing to forgive and ask for forgiveness.<br \/>\n4. Refrain from belligerence.<br \/>\n5. Try to understand each other&#8217;s value systems.<br \/>\n6. Don&#8217;t try prove the other side wrong or make them lose face.<br \/>\n7. Refrain from ideological discussions.<br \/>\n8. Recognize that fear is a factor for both sides.<br \/>\n9.
