Back in 1984, Miami Dolphins legend Marino threw for 5,084 yards in 16 games. Brees broke that mark in the 15th game of this season with a 307-yard performance in the Saints&#8217; 45-16 victory over the Atlanta Falcons.<\/p>\n<p>Brees set the new mark (5,087 yards) on a nine-yard touchdown pass to Darren Sproles late in the fourth quarter. It was Brees&#8217; fourth touchdown of the night.<\/p>\n<p>While Brees is most famous for his passing prowess and scrambling ability, the Austin, Texas native and former Purdue star has quietly been living out his Christian faith as a devoted family man and a committed community leader. Last year, the good folks at Fellowship of Christian Athletes had a chance to sit down with Brees for an interview.
