Bure, who has always openly discussed her Christian views, believes in the power of prayer, telling CBN\u2019s Faithwire invoking God regularly, has \u201ctransformed\u201d her life.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPrayer is my immediate connection to God,\u201d she said. \u201cThat\u2019s how I talk to Him and communicate with Him.\u201d Bure, the new chief content officer at faith and family-friendly TV network Great American Family, said she spends time reading Scripture. Still, prayer and communication with God bolsters her faith.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust like any relationship, when you are spending time with that person, and you\u2019re talking with them, that\u2019s where your relationship grows and develops,\u201d Bure said. \u201cAnd you nurture that over time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Great American Family star said she has learned to \u201clove God more and more\u201d as she has increasingly turned to Him in prayer. \u201cI get to know Him through prayer, and I pray about all things, not just the big things, and not just the times when times are hard or troublesome,\u201d she said. \u201cI pray in the joy and the thanksgiving and the mundane of life \u2014 just everyday things that don\u2019t even seem that important, except I know they are important to God.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/NPp_sTY8UkE\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Through prayer, Bure said she\u2019s assured the Lord is with her and will never leave her side, in both the good and the bad. \u201cHe carries me when \u2026 I can\u2019t take a step on my own,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd He celebrates with me when it\u2019s time to celebrate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gratitude is a big part of Bure\u2019s prayer life. She shared an example some might find \u201csilly,\u201d but one that helps illustrate how she views the integration of thankfulness and prayer. \u201cBefore I eat, I pray before my meals,\u201d she said, adding she also takes a moment to pray for those who made the food, the farmer who helped put it on the table, and others involved in the process. Bure continued, \u201cWhen we recognize that God\u2019s given all of us these things through other people in our lives \u2026 it just reminds me how great He is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Bure has been under fire for comments on the Great American Family network. In an interview with\u00a0<em>The Wall Street Journal\u00a0<\/em>published Monday, Cameron Bure shared how her projects with the Christian faith-based Great American Family network (GAF) will differ from the increasingly inclusive content seen on her former network, the Hallmark Channel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/candace-cameron-bure-great-american-family-11668205295\">Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core<\/a>,\u201d said Cameron Bure, 46. Disapproval of the sentiment quickly bubbled up online. Cameron Bure later released a statement saying that her comments weren\u2019t intended to hurt anyone. Bure continued, \u201cIt saddens me that the media is often seeking to divide us, even around a subject as comforting and merry as Christmas movies. But, given the toxic climate in our culture right now, I shouldn\u2019t be surprised.
