For the northern half of the Earth or the Northern Hemisphere, the winter solstice happens annually every December 21st<\/sup> or 22nd<\/sup>. On the solstice day, the earth tilts as far away from the sun as possible. It\u2019s the day with the fewest hours of sunlight in the whole year, making it the shortest day of the year. After the winter solstice, the days get longer and longer until the summer solstice, the first day of summer, and the longest day of the year. Although the winter solstice means the start of winter, it also means the return of more sunlight.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of time, the winter solstice has drawn humans towards it. When the dark, shorter days evolve into longer, brighter ones, it\u2019s a time to connect with your Higher Power and step into the spiritual light. After this incredibly dark year, now is the time to celebrate the solstice and walk toward brighter days. Soulstice was created to help people escape the darkness and bring them closer to the light. On the winter solstice, everyone is encouraged to celebrate Soulstice and breathe life into the future. There are two recommended ways to participate in Soulstice 2021.<\/p>\n

Light a Candle<\/h2>\n

On the evening of December 21st<\/sup>, turn off the lights, mute any distractions, and find a place where you can be alone for a minute. Then, light a candle and focus on the stillness of this peaceful moment and start to turn your thoughts toward your chosen Higher Power.<\/p>\n

Write a Letter<\/h2>\n

Get a pen and paper and write a letter to your chosen Higher Power. In that letter, you should write about the darkness of the past year, then focus on the light you hope for in the future. Ask for God\u2019s help in embracing the light into your life.<\/p>\n

Your Future is Calling<\/h2>\n

The past year has taken a toll on many people\u2019s lives. It can be devastating and depressing to be away from your family and friends for extended periods. On top of that, millions of people have lost loved ones and couldn\u2019t celebrate their lives the way they wanted because of a global health crisis. Thousands of people have lost their jobs and may never recover financially. The past year has been one of the most stressful that people have ever dealt with, and most people feel that there is no way out.<\/p>\n

However, Soulstice 2021 is a time to unite and step away from the darkness and into the light of your Higher Power\u2019s love. It\u2019s a time where you separate yourself from any distractions in your life and sit in stillness. While you\u2019re sitting still, you can make time to plan for your future. Soulstice 2021 is a time to be thankful for our blessings and find the inspiration around us. It\u2019s a time when we remember those we lost and ask our higher power for new blessings in their honor.
