During one of her busiest work hours, Amazon delivery driver Monica Salinas paused to say a prayer for a baby at high risk for the coronavirus in front of his home.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was a note and it said their baby\u2019s food was essential, and every time I see that note, it just touches my heart,\u201d Salinas said, according to The Christian Post<\/em>.\u00a0 \u201cI just stopped to do what my heart told me to do, to say a prayer for the baby and for the parents because that\u2019s got to be very painful for all of them to see their baby hurt and struggle. I just prayed that they can make it through another day, one day at a time.\u201d<\/p>\n Lucas, who is less than a year old was diagnosed with a heart condition, making him at risk for respiratory complications. As a result of these conditions, he requires thickeners to digest milk.<\/p>\n During the COVID-19 pandemic, his parents Derek and Raquel Pearson have isolated themselves during the crisis to protect their son.<\/p>\n \u201cWe really depend on getting all of these supplies online so we don\u2019t have to go out to the store and bring a virus home,\u201d said Raquel. \u201cWe just want to minimize exposure to coronavirus.\u201d<\/p>\n At first, Lucas\u2019 mother was not aware of what the delivery driver was doing until she made the sign of the cross after praying.<\/p>\n The delivery driver prayed, \u201cDearest God, please protect this family through your Precious Blood, and this baby, so that he may grow to become a man,\u201d according to her interview with the Catholic News Agency<\/em>.<\/p>\n Her actions deeply moved the family.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were very grateful that a stranger would take time out of her very busy day to pray for our baby,\u201d Raquel said.<\/p>\n Salinas, who is an active member of the Catholic church has always been a deep woman of faith.<\/p>\n \u201cI would like to let everyone know that God is good,\u201d she said. \u201cI always tell people, every day, that God is good, one day at a time.\u201d<\/p>\n Watch the moment unfold below.<\/p>\n
