A Michigan man took to the streets to show his appreciation for nurses working to combat the novel coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n

Waving a sign that said \u201cFree Gas for Nurses\u201d the compassionate man stood on the corner of an Exxon gas station near a hospital in hopes of spreading some love to public health workers.<\/p>\n

The man spent $900 of his own savings to fill between 50 to 80 vehicle gas tanks that day. When his funds ran out, he turned his sign over to a thank you message, and continued to stand on the corner waving it.<\/p>\n

His random act of kindness was inspired after dropping off his wife-who is an essential worker off at her shift with Blue Cross Blue Shield.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just love them and I want them to know that,\u201d\u00a0 he said in an interview, referring to local hospital staffers.<\/p>\n

His good deed did not go unnoticed; in fact, a woman passing by saw what he was doing and decided to contribute $200 to his cause.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was so inspired I just had to come down here and help,\u201d she said in an interview. \u201cSo whether it was money, or pumping gas, or whatever I needed to do, I wanted to give back. These nurses are putting their lives on the line every day for us. They are hero’s and we need to do what we can.”<\/p>\n
