After turning to his twitter followers to get uplifting, good news stories, John Krasinski used the inspiration he received to start a YouTube show called \u201cSome Good News,\u201d or \u201cSGN\u201d for short.<\/p>\n

The show starts off with the 40 year old actor in a suit sitting in front of a homemade \u201cSGN\u201d created by his daughters.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor years now, I\u2019ve been wondering, why is there not a news show dedicated entirely to good news?\u201d Krasinski said in the first episode. “Well, desperately seeking my fix somewhere else, I reached out to all of you this week, asking for some good news, and boy did you deliver.”<\/p>\n

The actor, best known for his role on \u201cThe Office\u201d and \u201cA Quiet Place,\u201d kicked off the show with a catchy news inspired plot that featured inspirational stories that have emerged through the coronavirus pandemic. The stories featured health care professionals around the world being showered with appreciation and gratitude by the communities they continue t serve throughout one of the world\u2019s most trying times.<\/p>\n

Krasinski continued with sharing random acts of kindness, community togetherness, proposals, love stories, even birth celebrations. He carried out his goal of spreading inspirational and heartwarming stories to uplift the spirits of viewers all over the world.<\/p>\n

He also celebrated the 15th<\/sup> anniversary of the \u2018Office\u201d show, with a video call to former costar Steve Carrell.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo Steve this week marked a huge anniversary for you and I, we were on a little show called The Office and it turned 15 years old this week,\u201d Krasinski said. The two continued the conversation with a trip down memory lane, reminiscing abut favorite past episodes.<\/p>\n

The YouTube Show has gained over 1.57 million subscribers since launching early last week, and the videos are averaging at five million views.<\/p>\n

Krasinski ended the first episode with a reminder to viewers to that no matter how tough life can get, there’s always good in the world.<\/p>\n
