It is the type of cancer that starts in the brain stem and spreads.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c[The type of cancer] is very rare, but when we see it, it is a devastating disease,\u201d her doctor, Virginia Harrod with Dell Children\u2019s Medical Center told KVUE. \u201cYou have decreased ability to swallow, sometimes vision loss, decreased ability to talk, eventually difficult with breathing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While there is no cure for this type of cancer and survival rates are low, Roxli still underwent radiation treatment in hopes of temporarily shrinking the tumor.<\/p>\n<p>Roxli\u2019s family also prayed without ceasing.<\/p>\n<p>Then the family received some very unexpected news. During her next MRI scan, the tumor was gone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I first saw Roxli\u2019s MRI scan, it was actually unbelievable,\u201d Harrod said. \u201cThe tumor is undectable on the MRI scan, which is really unusual.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors double checked the scan and still couldn\u2019t find the tumor. They have no explanation for what happened, KVUE reports. They prayed for her healing everyday.<\/p>\n<p>Roxli\u2019s parents are crediting the miracle to God saying he healed her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryday we still say it,\u201d said her mom, Gena Doss. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of our family thing that God healed Roxli.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Roxli Doss was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, an inoperable brain tumor that has no cure according to KVUE.
