A slider scented candle, you say? What an odd idea. <\/p>\n

Well, Martha Stewart,
\nVera Wang, and other notables seemed to love it enough to show up at a White
\nCastle in Manhattan a couple of weeks ago to celebrate.<\/p>\n

“Packaged in a ceramic holder that reproduces the signature cardboard sleeve
\nof the White Castle hamburger packaging, the
\nsteam-grilled-burger-on-a-bed-of-onions-scented candles made their debut in May
\nduring White Castle’s 18th annual celebration of National Hamburger Month. All
\n10,000 candles sold out in less than 48 hours and the net proceeds were donated
\nto Autism Speaks<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“When we first introduced The Original Slider\u00ae-Scented Candle in our stores
\nand online last May, we had no idea it would become the national phenomenon it
\ndid,” said Jamie Richardson, White Castle vice president of corporate relations. <\/p>\n

“Our original goal was to do something special for our loyal Cravers during
\nNational Hamburger Month while exploring a fun, new way to support a great
\ncause. We’re looking forward to keeping the momentum going and doing more of the
