Let\u2019s be clear. The world isn\u2019t ending on December 21, despite what you\u2019ve read or heard. At least, I\u2019m pretty sure it\u2019s not. <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>That said, what if it were?<\/p>\n

All the Mayan calendar hoopla got me thinking how differently I would spend 2012 if I knew it was my final year on earth. What would I do? How would I change?<\/p>\n

The first thing that came to me was this:<\/p>\n

Stop wasting time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I feel like so many precious moments of my life are lost reading updates on Facebook, watching the same three seasons of Arrested Development<\/em> on Netflix and worrying about things that haven\u2019t happened yet. It\u2019s a waste of not only my mind but also of my emotions.<\/p>\n

If time suddenly became of the essence, I think I would treat it more carefully. I would show more love and attention to the special people in my life. Perhaps I\u2019d finish that novel or go back to school.<\/p>\n
