A grandfather\u2019s gift went viral for its thoughtfulness and long-lasting impact. A woman by the name of Tiffany Shabazz posted a video of the man gifting his grandchildren with different colored flash drives. \u201cGrandpa gave the kids something irreplaceable for Christmas. He gave them the gift of Jesus on his birthday. He read the Bible and recorded the whole thing,\u201d wrote Shabazz. In the video<\/a>, he can be heard explaining to them what it is.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the Bible\u2014the whole Bible read. And also a bunch of pictures from Facebook that I posted,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

He said the project took him \u201cover a year\u201d and that every day he \u201cread one.\u201d \u201cThere\u2019s like 578 little MP3s,\u201d he said. His grandchildren reacted with disbelief as well as appreciation as they admired the time it took him. Another family member can be heard saying, \u201cYou\u2019ll always have his voice.\u201d The video went viral, receiving over a million views. Shabbaz shared in another post that the family had received requests for recordings to be sent to others. \u201cGod is doing something right now in our family,\u201d she wrote. \u201cHe\u2019s showing us what way to go. We are up to needing 118 copies for people all over the world. We shared one video of Grandpa giving us such a personal meaningful gift and now everyone wants a copy. I can\u2019t believe how many people this has reached. God is definitely in this story.\u201d The family is asking that requests be made by donation only. \u201cGive what you feel Grandpa\u2019s devotion deserves\u2014everyone receives access either way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Social media was flooded with appreciation for the grandfather\u2019s gift. \u201cGrandkids opened a Christmas gift to discover their grandpa had recorded the ENTIRE Bible in his own voice and gave each of them their own colored thumb drive,\u201d wrote conservative commentator David J Harris<\/a>. \u201cThis gift will become more and more precious as time goes by.\u201d \u201cThings we love: this grandpa took a year and a half to record the whole Bible for his family, and gave them all an MP3 of it on Christmas day,\u201d wrote Protestia. \u201cINCREDIBLE GIFT: This grandfather recorded himself reading THE BIBLE over the course of a year and gave it to his grandchildren for Christmas,\u201d wrote Don Keith<\/a>. \u201cThey look excited, but sadly, I don\u2019t think they\u2019ll fully appreciate it until he\u2019s gone.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
