October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I don’t know anyone who hasn’t been affected by this terrible disease in some way. The mother of my best childhood friend died from it many years ago, and I’m still haunted by the pain in her voice when she told me the news. I join many people who are raising awareness and hoping for a cure.<\/p>\n
