In my last blog, I mentioned seasons changing<\/a>. Our lives are forever evolving with days of sunshine and rain, happiness and tears and everything in between. I know that I said that despite the loss, seasons changing is a good thing. However, I know firsthand that when major shifts initially happen, they don\u2019t feel so good. In fact, sometimes it\u2019s enough to knock you down or even knock you out.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>One of the best ways to cope with big changes in your life is to trust that everything will turn out right. I don\u2019t mean that in a trite or clich\u00e9 way. I mean that you genuinely believe that, in spite of how things look today, eventually one of two things will happen:<\/p>\n

1). Your circumstances will change to fit your needs.<\/p>\n

2). Your needs will change to fit the circumstances.<\/p>\n

On one hand, nothing stays the same forever, and whatever new seasons you find yourself in now will change into something else. As my dad loves to tell me, \u201cThis too shall pass.\u201d<\/a> On the other hand, we are amazingly adaptable creatures. We can change. When you lose the thing you thought you couldn\u2019t live without, chances are you discover over time that you\u2019ve learned how to move on (or even move up!). You find a new rhythm \u2013 a new normal. And before you know it, you wake up one day still alive, well and, perhaps, even better off than you were before.<\/p>\n

So take the changing seasons in stride and do like the old Bob Marley song says. Don\u2019t worry. Everything is gonna be all right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
