A bride brought her groom to tears at the\u00a0altar when she began performing her vows in sign language \u2013 a surprise gesture for him and his deaf parents.<\/p>\n

Kelsey Kulick, secretly learned the vows for her husband, Michael, who communicates with his deaf parents, Paul and Gina, using American Sign Language.<\/p>\n

Kelsey first met Michael Kulick in 2018. As their relationship grew, she discovered that Michael was brought up by deaf parents and had been using American Sign Language to communicate with them since he was a child.<\/p>\n

When Michael proposed to Kelsey, she was thrilled. During their wedding planning, Kelsey felt a deep desire to show her appreciation for Michael\u2019s parents. She told him about her wish to learn sign language for their vows, but she also hoped he would forget, making it a surprise. I wanted to do it out of respect for them and to show them all that I love them, she expressed.<\/p>\n

As the wedding day approached, Michael indeed forgot the conversation. Kelsey, however, secretly learned to sign her vows, enlisting the help of Michael’s aunt.<\/p>\n

With guidance from his aunt, Kelsey practiced her vows diligently, aiming for perfection. During her practice sessions, she realized how important it was to communicate with Michael\u2019s parents and envisioned their future children learning as well. It was a beautiful gesture of love and respect. Kelsey understood the importance of connecting with her new family in a meaningful way.<\/p>\n

When the big day arrived, both Michael and his family were taken by surprise as Kelsey began signing her vows. Michael’s expression was one of pure love and awe. “Sure enough, he forgot, so it was a surprise!” Kelsey said.<\/p>\n
