Hull was launched from the motorcycle, hitting his head on the pavement. His wife, Keri, received the call. \u201cI had no idea he was on his motorcycle that day. The first thing I heard was a woman on the other end saying, &#8216;Your husband&#8217;s okay, but he&#8217;s been in a motorcycle accident and he&#8217;s on his way to the hospital,\u2019\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/cbn.com\/article\/thankfulness\/was-not-luck-i-am-blessed\">recalled.<\/a> The couple\u2019s children, daughter MJ and son Mason, rushed with their mother to the hospital but only Keri was allowed in due to COVID restrictions at the time. The family sent text messages to everyone they knew asking for prayers. \u201cWe were texting all the people that we knew, just to pray for him, and we were praying for him on the way there because we had no idea how bad it was going to be or what to even expect,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crosswalk.com\/headlines\/topics\/positive-stories\/motorcycle-crash-victim-knows-his-survival-was-all-god.html\">said MJ<\/a>. Mason said it was a moment that brought him and his sister together. \u201cSo, with COVID restrictions they only let mom in there to go see him. So that kind of felt like a slap in the face, to\u00a0be like we&#8217;re not going\u00a0to hear anything until\u00a0mom lets us know. Immediately, in\u00a0that\u00a0moment is where, I think,\u00a0my sister and I weren&#8217;t scared of the intimacy of really praying together. With faith, boldness and expecting&#8230;I think that&#8217;s something I&#8217;ll always appreciate looking back, was getting to share that with my sister, being able to\u00a0pray together,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/cbn.com\/article\/thankfulness\/was-not-luck-i-am-blessed\">he said.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Once in the hospital, Keri was able to see the full extent of Rob\u2019s injuries. \u201cI think that&#8217;s when the fear started to set in, was the minute I saw him in the bed. I was almost afraid to walk any closer to see what I was gonna see. I remember looking down and seeing his boots and his clothes on the ground and they were shredded. Like the boots were shredded. That really hit me, how bad it actually was,\u201d Keri recalled. \u201cAnd then when I came up to the side of him, I could see all the road rash and everything on the whole right side of his body.\u201d MJ and Mason were able to Facetime their father, who was in a neck brace and barely able to speak.<\/p>\n<p>Amazingly, despite the extent of the external injuries, the Hull family learned that Rob would be able to go home that night. Doctors revealed Rob had suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) but had suffered no internal bleeding or broken bones. He was able to walk out of the emergency room that night. Rob has since made a full recovery. \u201cI&#8217;m thankful God spared me. I am. He could have taken me and called me home. I could have woken up in Heaven and not known even what happened,\u201d he said. \u201cBecause as I woke up on the concrete, I didn&#8217;t even know what had happened. So it could have been a transition to Heaven, but I&#8217;m thankful He spared me.\u201d Despite doctors calling his recovery \u201cluck\u201d at the time, Rob said he knew what it really was. \u201cI&#8217;m blessed.
