I’m a big fan of anyone who uses their star power for good. Recently, I highlighted celebrities like Justin Bieber<\/a> and others<\/a> who help promote good causes. I just heard about this and wanted to share.<\/p>\n

Recent BMI “Songwriter of the Year” winner TobyMac<\/a> lead “Team TobyMac” in the Country Music Half Marathon last week in Nashville, TN, part of the larger Powered by Hope half marathon team. Team TobyMac brought in more than $100,000 to help support the education provided at New Hope Academy in Franklin, TN. Powered by Hope team members were on a mission to turn racial division, class segregation and spiritual poverty into community, possibility and vision. <\/em><\/p>\n

Kudos to TobyMac! Now that’s some good news. Here’s a man living out the lyrics of his songs.<\/p>\n
