Amid his stellar career, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown remains humble and always gives the glory to God. Before the Super Bowl in February, Brown told Sports Spectrum how he deals with adversity. Brown said, \u201cI had plans, and God had other plans. I try not to lean on my own understanding. I read the Bible a lot because that\u2019s how I fight my problems. I\u2019m not trying to stand up here and be a perfect guy because I\u2019m not; nobody is. But I just lean heavily on my faith and try to let Him direct my paths.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brown continued, \u201cI play for God. I don\u2019t play for the expectations of men. I play this game because God has given me the ability to play this game, and doing my best is giving my due diligence back to Him.\u201d Due to this mindset, the wide receiver brings his best to every game. Sports Spectrum reported that in a recent overtime win against the Washington Commanders, Brown caught nine passes for 175 yards more than any other player in Week 4.<\/p>\n

Two of his receptions were critical second-half touchdowns that gave the Eagles the lead. He\u2019s \u201cthe first Eagles player to have 175+ receiving yards and 2 touchdowns in a game since Jeremy Maclin in 2014. He\u2019s the first to do it at home since Kevin Curtis in 2007,\u201d NBC Sports Philadelphia\u00a0wrote<\/a>. However, Brown remains humble despite his success.<\/p>\n
