Jakes\u2019 daughter, recently went viral after she took off her wig mid-sermon while speaking at Potter\u2019s House Church in Dallas, Texas. At the beginning of her sermon, Roberts was dressed in a bright, colorful dress, pink jacket and a straight black wig tied back into a high ponytail.<\/p>\n<p>However, the wig unexpectedly slid back on her head as the 34-year-old shared a message about staying \u201clocked in\u201d with God. Instead of shying away from the wig mishap, Roberts took the wig off and used the incident to share with the congregation how obedience to God is more important than outer appearance.<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cI don\u2019t care. Y\u2019all don\u2019t think this is my hair? Do you? I really don\u2019t care because none of this is really necessary. Because I recognize what is really necessary if the wigs stay on or not. If the shoes stay on or not. I know what I\u2019m really here for. I understand that I came in to lock in on something.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Roberts continued, \u201cYou can make the memes and make the videos. One thing I know for sure is being locked in on a word. And if this is a distraction, then let it fall off. Because at the end of the day, I believe that I am called to bring a breakthrough in this room. And if I\u2019m in the way of the breakthrough, then move me out of the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LyrHsD35eD8\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Roberts told the congregation what she wanted more than anything for miracles to break out, and \u201cif miracles are going to break out, then let a wig fall off.\u201d She said, \u201cY\u2019all think I need this? I don\u2019t need this. I do it because it makes me look good. But at the end of the day, I know what\u2019s good. I know that if He goes before me, I know that if His Spirit breathes in this room \u2014 I came for power; I came for breakthrough; I came so somebody could get healed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She continued, \u201cI came so somebody could experience the wonderful working power of God. I heard that God is still performing miracles. So, I asked God to let me be a part of it. I don\u2019t care if I have to be embarrassed. If you get the glory at the end of the day, then don\u2019t let it fool you. The worst you can do is make it about you when God is trying to use you. When you make it about you when God is trying to use you, you\u2019ll miss the moment when glory can come through you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Roberts added that appearance shouldn\u2019t be more important than allowing God\u2019s work to be fulfilled in the life of a Christian, adding, \u201cWait a minute. When we\u2019ve been in a fight before, do we or do we not have to let a few things snatch off so that we can show up? At the end of the day, I\u2019m about it for real. I don\u2019t care what it takes. I have to make it to the other side.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Roberts concluded her sermon by telling the congregation that obeying God won\u2019t always be pretty or cute, saying, \u201cI don\u2019t care what they say about me. I care that God gets the glory.
