Bream recently released a new book called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Love-Stories-Bible-Speak-Friendship\/dp\/0063226057\">\u201cThe Love Stories of the Bible Speak: Biblical Lessons on Romance, Friendship, and Faith\u201d<\/a> after the success of her <em>New York Times <\/em>best-selling books \u201cThe Mothers and Daughters of the Bible Speak\u201d and \u201cThe Women of the Bible Speak.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In an interview with the Christian Post, Bream shared that for the trilogy\u2019s final installment, she wanted to focus on the Bible\u2019s love stories, including the love of deep friendship and romantic love.<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cThere are some really sacrificial friendships in the Bible, where people just really reach out and support each other and walk through really difficult things together. And I thought, let\u2019s celebrate friendship too. And, of course, there\u2019s the whole \u2018Love your neighbor as yourself,\u2019 and that encompasses everybody. I don\u2019t see any exceptions in there. Sometimes that can be the trickiest or most difficult for us to do, but we\u2019re called to do it as believers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bream continued, \u201cThe Bible is God\u2019s love story to us, so there are so many different facets of love we can look at.\u201d She emphasized that the lack of physical friendships in people\u2019s lives is a prominent issue exacerbated by the pandemic. She also highlighted the power of \u201csticking together on the important things and supporting each other,\u201d adding, \u201cJesus had real friendships. You think about Paul and all the friendships he had, and they were real friendships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-Wh-o91U6Q4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Bream said the counter-cultural idea of \u201cforgiving those who persecute you\u201d and \u201cloving your enemy\u201d intertwines Jesus\u2019 earthly ministry. She also highlighted that seeking the greater good of others is crucial in creating deep bonds. She said, \u201cGod didn\u2019t give us any outs when He says, \u2018love others as yourself.\u2019 We\u2019re all born so selfish. There\u2019s so much woven through Christ\u2019s ministry and throughout the New Testament about, \u2018Don\u2019t be seeking the limelight for yourself, be thinking about the greater good of other people.\u2019 So I think that that\u2019s where we start with these friendships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bream shared some Bible stories that offered inspirational lessons about God\u2019s unconditional love and friendship, including the story about David and Abigail, where Abigail\u2019s intelligence and wisdom saved her household from David\u2019s anger. David ultimately remembered her, asking her to be his wife.<\/p>\n<p>She also pointed to the story of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bibleportal.com\/verse-topic?v=Hosea+1%3A2&amp;version=ESV\">Hosea and Gomer<\/a>\u00a0as a powerful allegory for God\u2019s unending love for humanity. Despite Gomer\u2019s unfaithfulness, Hosea continually pursued and redeemed her, representing God\u2019s unwavering love for his people. Bream shared how her faith is woven into all aspects of her life. The news anchor revealed she starts daily with prayer and reading the Bible, which she said serves as a reminder of God\u2019s promises and love.<\/p>\n<p>She emphasized the importance of prayer for wisdom and discernment in her work, striving to do an excellent job representing her faith in the entertainment and news industry. Bream said she hopes her new book will remind people of God\u2019s unconditional love and strengthen their relationships with others.
