A Southern California family is grieving an unimaginable loss after a pregnant mother of two was killed while riding her bike with her loved ones.<\/p>\n

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, 36-year-old Regan Cole-Graham was riding an electric bike alongside her husband, Matt Graham, and their two young sons around 6 p.m. Saturday in the seaside neighborhood of Playa del Rey. She was seven months pregnant with a baby girl.<\/p>\n

Police told NBC Los Angeles<\/em> that Regan was struck by a sedan traveling in the same direction. The driver, described as an elderly man, remained at the scene. Investigators do not believe drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.<\/p>\n

Regan was rushed to a local hospital, where doctors delivered her unborn daughter before she was pronounced dead. The baby girl was transported to the NICU at UCLA Children’s Hospital for treatment. Tragically, she later passed away.<\/p>\n

A GoFundMe<\/a> page set up to support the family shared the heartbreaking update: \u201cTragically, Regan\u2019s cherished baby girl passed away last night. Please continue to hold Matt and the boys in your thoughts and prayers. We are all truly grateful for the outpouring of support.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fundraiser describes Regan as a woman who poured herself into her family. \u201cRegan was a loving & devoted wife, a fierce & joyful mother, a hilarious & loyal sister, and a beautiful, fiery daughter,\u201d the page reads. \u201cWe are raising money to help pay for funeral expenses and help Matt with the kids\u2019 future. We appreciate your love and support.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other images capture joyful moments from their wedding day and everyday life as parents. The snapshots make the loss feel even more personal \u2014 a family full of life, now facing deep sorrow.<\/p>\n

Independent journalist Chris Cillizza helped bring national attention to the tragedy after revealing that Matt Graham is a college friend. \u201cI wanted to share a tragedy with you all. And ask you for help,\u201d Cillizza wrote on X<\/a>. \u201cOn Saturday night, my college friend Matt Graham, his wife Regan Cole-Graham and their two young boys were riding bikes in Los Angeles. She was struck by a car and killed. She was also 7 months pregnant with their third child \u2014 a little girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI understand that not everyone is in a financial position to donate. But, if you are, please give what you can to my friend who has had his entire life change in the space of the last 2 days. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fundraiser had raised more than $280,000, reflecting the compassion of strangers and friends alike. One donor wrote, \u201cMatt, I\u2019m so, so sorry for your loss. I can\u2019t imagine the pain you and your sons are going through, but please know I\u2019m thinking of you and your family during these trying times.\u201d<\/p>\n
